Cricketin is an information site for readers in India. We explain cricket, online-gaming law, money risks, privacy, and safer choices in plain English. We do not tell people where to place a bet. This page sets out our scope, our limits. the checks behind our work. It also says what the site owner must verify before launch. ## Our purpose is to explain, not to push We publish clear guides about cricket and the risks around online money games. Our readers may want help with odds, match terms, app safety, tax, privacy, and the law. We aim to explain those subjects without hype. The site is for people in India. We use simple words where we can. We show a formula when a number matters. We link to the source next to a legal claim. If a fact is not confirmed, we say so. Our guide hub, Cricket and Betting Guides, explains the words and maths people may see online. ## What readers can expect to find here We publish explainers, checklists, and worked examples. A cricket guide may explain a match format or a score rule. A safety guide may show why an unknown app file can put data at risk. A legal guide may separate a law from a claim made in an ad. Our [responsible gaming guidance](/responsible-gaming) and our page on help for gambling harm point readers toward practical support. ## What we do not publish We do not publish operator rankings, brand reviews, bonus offers, promo codes, download links, APK files, or payment steps. We do not use calls that ask a reader to join, deposit, or play. We do not present money games as a way to earn. This is not a missing feature. It is a choice about safety and law. Section 6 of the PROG Act says that a person must not make or help make an ad that directly or indirectly promotes an online money game. That rule is why a reader will not find a list of named operators here. It is also why we do not turn a legal explainer into a path to an operator. We do not make mini-reviews. We do not list welcome amounts. We do not publish referral codes. These choices apply to text, tables, buttons, and images. We also do not accept a request from an operator to be placed on the site. A request to change a factual error is different. It will be handled through our [Fix Rule and Log](/corrections). A request to publish a paid placement will not be considered. Section 6 covers direct and indirect promotion in electronic media. The law also sets a penalty for an ad made in breach of that section. We then ask whether the answer can be supported by a primary source, a clear calculation. a clearly named limit. If it cannot, we remove it or label the gap. Legal claims need a law, court record, or official notice. Tax claims need an official tax source. A calculation needs inputs, a formula, a result, and its limits. Our [testing and check method](/how-we-test) explains the last part in detail. A page is not finished just because it sounds confident. We check whether its links work, whether its dates are clear, and whether a short sentence could mislead. Our [Content Rule](/editorial-policy) sets the rules for sources, updates, AI tools, and fix. ## How we make money There are no affiliate links to operators on this site. We do not earn a fee when a reader goes to an operator, opens an account, deposits money, or takes an offer. That is why our pages do not have operator buttons or tracking links. The funding model is not published yet. What an audit of the live code does show is the absence of the usual money routes: no operator link, no affiliate redirect, no advertising script. The owner must also state whether any sponsor can affect editorial content. Do not publish a vague statement in place of this note. Writer and reviewer are never the same person: the editor reads back most of the site, and the pages the editor writes about the site itself are checked by the data editor. Each name links to a profile page: what that person covers, where the role stops, and every page on this site they wrote or checked. Each page describes what the role signs off, not who currently holds it. ## Reader privacy and reader control We aim to collect as little data as the site needs. The privacy page names the data categories, their purpose. the planned keep time rule. The cookie page explains how browser storage may work. The DPDP Act says that consent, when it is the basis for use, must be free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous. It also requires clear notice. We want the page URL, the words at issue. a link or write down that supports the fix. We will not hide a material fix by changing a page without a note. A monitored content route and a separate legal or privacy route are not published yet. The route may be an email address or a form. But it must be monitored and it must identify who handles the request. No. We do not rank, review, name, or link to them. Section 6 of the PROG Act bars direct and indirect promotion of online money games. ### Why do some Cricketin pages show a person’s name? Because a reader should be able to ask who wrote a page and get an answer. The name at the top links to a profile with that person’s topics, limits and full list of pages, and the reviewer is named next to them. ### Can an operator pay to appear on Cricketin? No. We do not consider placement requests from operators. A factual fix can be sent through the fix process. ### Where can I report a mistake on the site?
