18+ Betting money on cricket carries a direct risk of financial loss, and it can become an addiction. Real-money online gaming is banned across India under the PROG Act 2025, which came into force on 1 May 2026.

If betting is already costing you money you need, or sleep, or people close to you, the free Tele-MANAS helpline is **14416**, and it runs in 20 languages. Our [page on help for gambling harm](/guides/help-for-gambling-harm-india) lists what else exists.

Cricketin sets no cookies. See exactly what the site stores in your browser, why, how long it stays, and how to remove it.

Cricketin sets no cookies at all. An audit of the live code on 23 August 2026 found two items in browser storage — a record of your cookie choice and a record that you confirmed you are 18 — and nothing else.

There is no analytics, no advertising, no embedded video and no third-party script on this site. This page lists what is stored, why, and how to remove it.

## What the audit found

We read the site's own code on 23 August 2026: every script and stylesheet it loads, every image and font, and every place it writes to the browser. The result is short.

The site sets **no cookies**. It writes two values into local storage, both because you acted: one records the choice you made in the cookie banner, the other records that you confirmed you are over 18. There is no analytics tool, no advertising tag, no social pixel, no embedded video and no third-party font. Scripts, styles and fonts are all served from this domain.

Links to sources — a ministry release, a court page, a rulebook — are ordinary links. Nothing is loaded from those sites into this one, so they learn nothing about you until you click.

## What is stored, and for how long

**Table 1. Everything Cricketin writes to your browser**

| Item | Type | Why it exists | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent_status | Local storage | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner, so it stops asking | Until you clear site data |
| ageConfirmed | Local storage | Remembers that you confirmed you are 18 or older, so the age gate stops asking | Until you clear site data |

Local storage is not a cookie. It is never sent to our server with a request; it stays in your browser until you or your browser removes it. Neither value contains a name, an email, an identifier, or anything that describes you.

## How to remove them

Clear site data for this domain in your browser settings, or use a private window. Both values come back the next time you answer the banner and the age gate. Nothing else depends on them: clearing them costs you two clicks, not access.

## What the server sees

Like any web server, the host that serves these pages records requests: an IP address, a timestamp, the page requested and the browser string. That is a function of hosting, not a tracking choice, and we join those logs to nothing else. The retention period set by the host is not published here yet, and we will not print a number we have not confirmed against the hosting configuration.

## Why there is no consent tool

Consent tools exist to gate storage that is not necessary — analytics, advertising, profiling. This site runs none, and the two items it does store are records of your own answers. If that ever changes, it lands in the table above first, with the provider named, and any non-necessary storage waits for consent before it starts.

The [Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023](https://www.meity.gov.in/static/uploads/2024/06/2bf1f0e9f04e6fb4f8fef35e82c42aa5.pdf) is the frame we work to for anything that would count as personal data.

## Children

The site carries an 18+ gate and is not built for children. Nothing here profiles a visitor of any age, because no profiling tool runs at all.

## Questions people ask

### What cookies does Cricketin use?

### Can I change my cookie choice?

Yes. Clear site data for this domain in your browser and the banner asks again on your next visit.

No. The audit on 23 August 2026 found no analytics tag, no advertising script and no third-party tracker on any page.

### How do I ask a cookie question?

Through the routes on our contact page. We do not yet publish a monitored inbox, and we say so there rather than print an address nobody watches.
