Indian Premier League 2023 ended with Gujarat Titans on top of the league table with 20 points from 14 matches. The title went to Chennai Super Kings, who finished the league stage lower and won through the play-offs. 10 teams played 70 league matches. Play-off games are excluded: they do not count towards points.

## What the columns mean

- **P** — matches played in the league stage.
- **W** — wins.
- **L** — losses.
- **NR** — no result.
- **NRR** — net run rate: own run rate minus the run rate conceded.
- **FOR** — runs scored and overs faced.
- **AGAINST** — runs conceded and overs bowled.
- **PTS** — two points for a win, one for a no result.

## How net run rate is counted here

Net run rate here runs from Gujarat Titans on 0.809 at the top to Sunrisers Hyderabad on -0.590 at the foot: own run rate minus the run rate conceded, across the league stage only. A team bowled out gets its full quota of overs in the denominator, and wides and no-balls add runs without counting as balls faced.
